09 Feb 2018 Introducing Ryan Smith
We are pleased to introduce you to Ryan Smith, who joins our Beacon family as a talented Wealth Advisor. Ryan brings 12 years’ experience as a wealth advisor, practicing most recently with a local firm and earlier in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.
Growing up on the North Shore of Massachusetts and starting his career in Boston, Ryan’s life changed dramatically after meeting Emily, who would become his bride, and Raleigh his home, in just eleven months. At the time, Emily was an RN at Duke University Hospital. She now enjoys being home with their two children, Jack and Gwen.
The Smiths are blessed by a caring community of friends, a home in North Raleigh they enjoy very much, and an amazing church home at Church of the Apostles. Beyond his home, friends, and church, Ryan has faithfully served with local nonprofits, such as StepUp Ministry and House of Hope of North Carolina.
Ryan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Retirement Income Certified Professional® and has a Masters of Science in Financial Planning from Bentley University. Prior to joining Beacon, he was a member of a successful firm in Cary, but was drawn to Beacon’s commitment to helping its clients live lives of significance, through purposeful financial planning, tightly integrated with efficient investment management.
Importantly, Ryan’s move is free of financial conflicts of interest, such as signing bonuses and financial incentives, which are common in the financial services industry. Ryan made this move in the best long-term interests of his clients and his family and we are deeply honored and pleased to have him aboard.
Please join us in welcoming Ryan, Emily, Jack and Gwen to the Beacon family.
