Daniel Logan, CFP®
Financial Planner
For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in personal finances. I can remember as a child being fascinated by money, numbers, checkbooks, and other things that are a little different than what the usual little kid enjoys. At the time, I never knew that finance could be a career possibility. As I thought about my future career, I declared my major at The University of Alabama as Pre-Dental thinking it would be something I would enjoy. Needless to say, I realized over time that that was not what my career journey had in store.
Eventually, I revisited my roots and decided on a major of Finance with a Personal Wealth Management specialization, because it allowed me to sit for the CFP® exam. Even though I was not sure what that entailed, it seemed like a smart decision to choose a specialization that had additional credentials at the end of it. As my college career progressed, I was able to have internships that provided me with invaluable insight into the world of financial planning. I learned about fee-only RIAs and the importance of acting as a fiduciary and realized that was the career I envisioned for myself.
Financial planning encompasses many things, but I think most importantly it involves listening intently to clients. It is a joy to be able to be a part of our clients’ lives and help them on their financial journey. It is a long path with many turns, ups and downs, and surprises, but I am thankful to be able to partner with wonderful clients on the way to help them reach their goals.
My wife, Megan, and I moved to the Raleigh area a few years ago from Alabama. We love being local and spend a lot of time exploring the beautiful City of Oaks, eating delicious meals, and trying to find our way around town. Outside of work, you will find me at the pickleball courts or at Harvest Church where we serve our youth students.
